Institute of Chartered Accountant of India to organize a tax awareness camp
Department of Income Tax(Range IV & V, Chandigarh) in association with the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) will jointly organize a Tax Awareness and Facilitation Camp on Monday, July 30 at Rajasthan Bhawan, Sector 33, Chandigarh.
BS Sandhu, IRS, Commissioner of Income Tax, Chandigarh will inaugurate the facilitation counters. The office bearers of the ICAI and Chandigarh Beopar Mandaal will also address the public and trade representatives of market association.
According to Sanjeev Sharma, Chairman, ICAI, Chandigarh the camp is organized with a view to disseminate awareness about the Income Tax Law relevant to general tax payers, return filers and to encourage voluntary compliance.
At the venue, Tax Facilitation and IT Return receipt counters will also be opened from 9am to 5pm where officials of the Department and ICAI perpare Tax Return to help people file their returns. (Times of India)
