Applicability of Companies Act, 2013 for May 2014, Examination - ICAI

This is to bring to the notice of students that the Companies Act, 2013 passed by the Parliament has received the assent of the President of India on 29th August, 2013. The Companies Act, 2013 has been notified in the Official Gazette on 30th August, 2013 but the provisions of this Act shall come into force on such date(s) as the Central Government may notify in the Official Gazette. 

Once, the date of enforcement of the provisions of the Act is notified, the decision regarding the applicability of the Companies Act, 2013 for CA Examination would be taken and informed to the students well in time before the Examination. 

In any case, it is clarified that the Companies Act, 2013 will NOT be applicable for November 2013 examination.
