Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) Indore is all set to launch full-time coaching for CA entrance examination -- Common Proficiency Test (CPT) -- by the end of this month, said its officials.
This decision was taken after the success of a crash course started in April-June this year, he said.
The coaching centre is a part of BSNL's unique corporate social responsibility initiative. "We are encouraged by the fact that around 40 per cent of our crash course student cleared the examination and we plan to double the number in the coming batches," said Ganesh Chandra Pandey, General Manager, BSNL Indore.
The classes will be conducted at BSNL's state level Circle Telecom Trainning Centre (CTTC) in Vijaynagar Indore. CTTC Indore is a training centre for BSNL officials in telecom, information technology, marketing, personality development and related disciplines. Experienced BE and CA training professionals of CTTC will guide the students in the upcoming course, added Pandey.
Officials said that they may call experienced visiting faculty whenever need be. This is purely BSNL Indore initiative but depending on the response this may be started at other places in future, said officials.
"Enquiries for the course are encouraging and we will start the first batch from July 25 with maximum 30 students," said officials.
Also, BSNL Indore is organising a consumer education workshop as per Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) guideline on August 3. BSNL customers will be trained by Consumer Advocacy Group Bhopal.
Last month, the company started its country's first experience zone and one point solution consumer service centre - Santripti. Among products, BSNL Indore launched a wi-fi technology module for cars which will enable people to use Internet while they are travelling in April and its 4G services were launched in the city in June.
