University papers clash with MPSC and CA exams, rescheduled

Two competitive exams are now clashing with the University of Mumbai exams giving students a nightmare.
MCom final year paper (old syllabus) scheduled for May 2 clashes with CA exam on the same day. Optional papers of business studies, business economics, accountancy, business management, banking and finance, quantitative techniques were planned for May 2. Besides, six papers of various courses scheduled for May 18 are also clashing with MPSC civil services preliminary exam on the same day.
“The MPSC date was announced a week ago and then suddenly we knew that we may have to miss it. We have requested the university to shift our paper to some other day,” says a MA student who is eagerly waiting to appear in MPSC exam which was deferred twice this year.
The panicked students have requested varsity to reconsider the exam date. MPSC has recently announced the new date of civil services exam. The commission had earlier deferred the exam after losing the records of 4 lakh candidates due to virus attack.
Deepak Wasave, in-charge controller of exam, says, “We will not want students to suffer and now rescheduling both the papers. May 2 papers would now be conducted on May 5 and papers of May 18 would be conducted on May19, Sunday.”
