RBI Extends Curbs on Pusad Bank; Election 2026 Updates
The Reserve Bank of India has decided to continue the restrictions on Pusad Urban Cooperative Bank for an additional three months. Under these directions, customers are not permitted to withdraw more than ₹5,000, and the bank remains barred from accepting new deposits or issuing loans. These curbs were initially set to remain in force until May 7.
The institution has been facing difficulties following allegations against its former Managing Director, who has been booked in connection with the suicide of a government contractor, PV Verma.
