The parents said they are reaching out to local people to trace their son, but no one seems to have seen him.
Since Shubham went missing on February 18, his parents have visited villages of Bulandshahr, Agra and Aligarh. The police teams from Jewar have also extended their search operation and have visited 30 districts of the state.
Over one lakh posters have been put up at prime locations such as railway stations, hospitals, police stations and other public places in all 30 districts. Based on Shubham’s phone number, Jewar police have also mounted a technical surveillance.
“We are running from one place to another to trace him. Everyone has denied seeing him. He was excited that day (February 18) about coming home for a visit. Then, suddenly, his phone was switched off. Till late night, we waited for him but he did not come,” said Shubham’s mother Arti Maheshwari.
She said Shubham was doing his final year of CA in Delhi and would visit home often. “We are clueless about what has happened to him. Every day, ends with a hope,” Arti said.
Shubham went missing on his way from Delhi to Hathras on February 18. He boarded a bus to Hathras from Anand Vihar bus terminal in Delhi at 6.50am on February 18. Up to Jewar, he spoke to his mother several times. The last conversation took place at 9.40am when he told her that the bus had stopped for passengers to get refreshments.
After a man missing complaint was filed, the teams comprising 20 police personnel have visited 30 districts so far. The operation is being led by Ajay Kumar Sharma, station house officer, Jewar police station.
“Technical surveillance can help us in this matter. We are hopeful of receiving a clue through it,” Sharma said. #casansaar (Hindustan Times)
