FinMin notifies SEBI - FMC merger from September 28

Starting September 28, Sebi would also regulate commodity derivatives market. “A notification to this effect was issued on 28th August, 2015.
As a result, FCRA,1952 gets repealed and regulation of commodity derivatives market will shift to Sebi under Securities Contracts Regulation Act (SCRA) 1956 with effect from 28th September, 2015,” said a finance ministry statement. Finance minister Arun Jaitley had 2015 Budget announced the merger of FMC with Sebi. (Indian Express)
