Sebi's toll-free service for investors open on whole week

Investors can access Sebi's toll-free helpline service for guidance and assistance on various matters on Saturdays and Sundays as well.
Earlier, the service was accessible from Monday to Friday.
"SEBI has extended its toll-free helpline service (1800 22 7575 / 1800 266 7575) to Saturday and Sunday from the existing Monday to Friday," the regulator said.
As of now the service on Saturday and Sunday would be available to investors from all over India in English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati from 9:30am to 5:30 pm, Sebi said.
On rest of the days the service is available in 14 languages.
Sebi had launched the toll-free helpline for investors to provide for guidance and assistance on various matters such as lodging complaints and transferring shares.
Investors can seek guidance on issues ranging from status of companies and matters pertaining to other regulators that are not under Sebi's purview, to lodging complaints and getting information on opening demat and client accounts.
They can also receive assistance on different procedures like transfer and transmission of shares and initial public offerings (IPOs).
