As the Priyanka said A Practicing CA can not be a whole time director and can not work as a executive director, if he do so he will be professional misconduct, But the question, as per Irfan Ansari, is a Practicing CA be treated as deemed director? In accordance with whose direction or instruction , the Board of Directors of a company is accustomed to act shall be deemed to be the director of the company. However if the board of directors act on advice given by a person in his professional capacity (Practicing CA) he will not be considered as a deemed director of the company.
