Q. > Please Help: Legal heirs tax liability when no consideration
Assessee had transferred his property to someone else in 2006 and died in 2009, and his weif (legal heir) had no idea about the property and hence got nothing as consideration. Ito had opend the case in 148 and asked her to pay tax as his legal heir.
So qus. is this that wheather she is liable to tax even then she did not receive any consideration.
