Q. Service Tax Applicability - I have one query related to aaplicability of Service Tax.

One of my client(Builder) purchase a land and handed over to contractor for purchase of Flats over there. Contractor completes the building and after that the same will be sold to customers. Each unit will comprises of 4-5 flats but during the year total flats will be 15-20 flats. So in this case whether the service tax will be applicable on contractor or builder. And if applicaple on anyone how the valuation will be done.

Service Tax on Hotels - As Hotels are covered under composite scheme of taxation ie @ 60% of value of goods and services supplied at therein. kindly guide whether for calculation of the SSI exemption of Rs. 10 Lacs we need to take only 60% value . Mean practically they need not to take registration and pay ST in case thier turnover be upto Rs. 16.67 Lacs . AS 60% of 16.67Lacs = Rs. 10 Lacs Pls guide

We have recd professional income of Rs.8 lakhs till 25.3.2014 and we are not registered in service tax , we got an audit assignment on 28.3.2014 and fees for which was Rs 3 lakhs, we started the audit from 05/4/14 and recd the fees on 25/6/14 , but they deducted the TDS on 31.3.2014. sir my Qusetion is that what will be service tax implication in F.Y 13-14 . we have taken service tax registration from 15/4/2014
