Please Help: setting up of a CA firm

Greetings to all,
I want to set up my own CA Firm. For that purpose, i want to know What is the procedure to set up a Firm. Do i need to have a separate space for office or i can register my home address as office. Is there any requirement to how to choose the name of Firm, as in the case of Company. What are the other requirements for setting up a CA Firm.
Please provide me with full details on the above query.

u need to have a cop and you can start wrk from home also. for more details contact icai

First of all you should have a COP and regarding the infrastructure and space, there is no mandatory requirement, you can start your office from your home as well.

To start your practice, you firstly needs to have a COP, apply for that along with your membership no. in case you havent already applied fior it. Secondly you can start your practice showing your home as your place of work. Thirdly, ya u need to have a name, usually prefixed with "& associates" or "& company"

First you need to have Certificate of Practise.
There is no restriction regarding address, you can give address of your home also...

Dear, first of all obtain Full time Certificate of Practice (COP), then aply for registration of proposed firm name. After getting name approved from ICAI, apply for registration of the firm name. once your firm name is approved from the Institute you can start practice in the firm name. As regards to the infrastructure it is up to you how you want to maintain. At least you need one room to set up where your article or staff along with the client will sit. BEST OF LUCK!!!!

Hi.You need to have Certificate of practice first and then send a form to ICAI for approval of name of your firm. After getting the approval you can finally get your firm registered.You can have your home address registered as your official address as well.

13-May-2012 , 02:40:44 pmfirst of all you should applied for the COP to the institute and simultaneously choose a name of your firm, but you have to justify the name you have choosen. this is a 15-20 days process of name approval. in regard to your address it's on you....no restriction
