Please Help: Removal of First directors at one time

First directors of the company wants to resign from directorship at a time. Can it be possible that all first directors resign at a time. if Yes, please mention brief procedure for the same along with provisions of Companies act

As per my view if all the directors wants to resign at signle point of time than before filing there resigntion appoint two other person as director and after that get all the old directors resigned from Board, so that statutory requirement of 2 Directors is mantained. other expert advise needed.
