Q. > Please Help: SSI EXEMPTION ON JEWELRY MANUFACTURED ON JOB WORK
FACT:- Mr. J manufactured "articles of jewellery on Job Work
basis" for Mr. P (Principal). Mr. P (Principal) claims SSI
exemption.
Querries:-
1. Is Mr. J is liable to get himself registered under Central Excise
?
2. If yes, whether Mr. J can also claim SSI exemption.
3. What documents/return are to be maintain & submitted to
department by Mr. J?
4. Is there any Specified Format for Receipt & Issue Challan
under Job Work?
5. Is Mr. J is liable to get himself registered under Service tax ?
