25-Nov-2015 , 12:30:16 pmDear Surbhi there is no provision in Income Tax Act for exemption from filling ITR in case of deceased assessee. In this case you have to file the ITR of the deceased person as a legal heir/ representative assessee and in this case PAN of the legal heir will be used for verification of ITR.If there is a refund or total income is above 5 lacs then you have to file ITR on line otherwise you may file paper return.
