India Need for additional 6 lakh CAs - SIRC Chariman
Listen to this Article
There is good demand for chartered accountants (CAs) in the country and more students should be attracted to this profession, according to P.R. Aruloli, Chairman of the Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Speaking at ‘Jnana Deevige’, a national conference of ICAI, in Mangaluru on Friday, he said the country has around 2.4 lakh CAs now. But that number is not enough, as there is a need for another 6 lakh CAs, he said.
The demand provides an opportunity to more students to look at CA as a profession, he said.
To create awareness about the profession, SIRC members and students are planning to carry a 66-km-long banner to the regional conference of SIRC later this year, he said.(The Hindu)
We do not agree with SIRC Chairman's View, Do you agree?

27-Jun-2015 , 02:59:48 pmWe with due regard submit that we do not agree with the statement released by SIRC Chairman. Present position of CA community is not satisfactory at least in case of earnings. We could not see the opportunity in market attracting the CA profession at large. Only few specialised CA is doing well. If more supply will start, nothing will remain for new entrants. It is a need of the time, that institu

27-Jun-2015 , 05:28:15 pmi really disagree. Chairman Sir plz look into the dearer conditions of CAs in the current market. CAs are not getting even 25,000 p.m. We don't have a good market to provide our services in return of an handsome amount. Either we have to leave the job/assignment or provide our precious services in a very low return.

27-Jun-2015 , 10:52:09 pmIf more students join ICAI will earn more, if membership grows will earn more and with this earnings only council members will enjoy by pleasing the corrupt politicians. These council members are systematically eliminating small firms for the benefits of large firms. If the trend continues ICAI will become history in future.

28-Jun-2015 , 04:34:06 pmCompletely disagree with the statement. Only 10% of CAs in my opinion have quality work in profession, rest 90% does the petty assignment which can be completed by B.Com. Since CAs are available at the rate of B.com, we are getting those petty assignment, else it would have gone to become. If our respected Chairman really wants to do something good for the profession and help us to maintain standa
