Its a known fact that the representations are not given true weightage. One more issue for TDS e-filling. The business community on behalf of the Govt collects the tax at source maintain the account and for the submission of return is forced to pay fee. You work for Govt and pay fees also for the same.

ICAI Should also consider to vacate its nomination to various committees of Ministry of Finance, Direct Tax. There is no point in representing in such places where our views on even administrative matters are not considered. Further, option of legal course should be examined and intervention of Courts should be requested for retrospective extension of due dates.

Now govt has started to amend the return forms as per its will and as many times during the year.I think the assessee has the right to be informed of the forms required to be filed at the end of the year before the year starts. Stop blaming CBDT or Finance Ministry for not extending time u/s. 139(1) in respect of tax audit cases. Six months time is more than enough to prepare/file return. I don not subscribe to the concern expressed by the Moderator/other readers and request not to accuse Council and its members for such issues.

I AGREE THAT COUNCIL OR SO CALLED COMMITTEE IS FAILING IN MANAGING THE AFFAIRS , EVERY BODY IS BUSY IN SELF INTEREST, THERE IS NO UNITY AMONG US WHICH GOVT AND OTHERS ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE.

We all where hoping that ICAI will get date extended and you failed in our this smaller expectations and many others issues too

don't talk about council or committees. Our central council members sign the minutes of meeting of committee without knowing that what matter has been discussed in that meeting. Even they don't remember about their presence in the meeting. This has happened in March in a meeting in which fees of ISA revisionery class has been increased from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 17500. The members present in the meeti
