Listen to this Article
Job-seekers must pay special attention to some things when submitting a resume to recruiters, recruiters give only few seconds and determine whether this person is able to find a job. Most of the resumes did not impress to recruiters.
should have the following:
1) Cover Letter- Some person say that cover letter in not necessary, but my view is when employers having thousands of resume in email for a job in the same post you are looking, would cover letter make some difference.
2) MS Word- Always use MS Word format for resume. Don’t use Notes, Excel, PDF etc. Word is prefect because recruiters easily search to you and word file can be open in any computer, other format is require specific software which is not available in all computer system.
3) Attachment– Some person forgot to attach resume with mail, only sent cover letter/ message, most of the recruiters not give reply of mails and request for sent attachment.
4) CC/BCC - Don’t use CC/BCC in email its show how you lazy and you have sent resume to so many companies and not interested in a particular company .Your mail will be go in spam folder of recruiters and can be delete by recruiters.
5) Font – Fonts size must be maintain between 10-12 and Arial fonts style, If size is less than 10 will have difficulties in reading and size is more than 12 is show you trying to funny.
