Many of the practicing Charted Accountants or other professionals file the TDS return incomplete on or before the last date with this intention will revise at their ease, In order to avoid the late fee of under section 234 E. The revenue department must instruct their team to be alert if they find such practice they must start charging penalty under section 271 H. With this compliance and as well as revenue will improve.

The penalty under section 271H can also be levied if the deductor/collector files an incorrect TDS/TCS return. In other words, the minimum penalty of Rs. 10,000 and a maximum penalty of up to Rs. 1,00,000 can be levied if the deductor/collector files an incorrect TDS/TCS return.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

TDS Defaults

I have the opinion and Govt. must implement the system like GST as the assessee is not allowed to file the next return unless he has not filed the previous one. In TDS the Govt. should put a barrier unless the previous return is processed without default the next should not be allowed to file. There will no arrear of Govt. outstanding.

May forward my thought to Govt. for implementation.

Q. MSME REGISTRATION - A) While making Udyam Registration there are only two columns for registration as under.

(1) For new Entrepreneurs who are not registered yet as MSME.

(2) For those already having registration as EM-II or UAM

But there is no separate column for the units who are already registered as MSME with District Industries Centre and who do not have registration as UAM.

B) How to register if one msme has two units in different states and have different gst no.
